Is Level 4 the right class?

Level 4 is for capable swimmers who are ready to refine all four strokes, improve efficiency, and build endurance.

✓ Swims approximately 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke

✓ Uses rhythmic or side breathing during freestyle

✓ Treads water for approximately one minute

✓ Remains calm and controlled in deeper water

✓ Follows technical feedback and repeats drills independently

Four focus areas for advanced stroke development

Level 4 improves technique across every stroke while building the pacing, turns, and endurance needed for longer swims.

Freestyle & Backstroke Efficiency

More efficient body position, kick, catch, recovery, breathing, and rhythm over increasing distances.

Breaststroke Coordination

Coordinated pull, kick, glide, and breathing timing for a smoother and more repeatable stroke.

Butterfly Development

Body movement, dolphin kick, breathing, and arm timing are combined progressively into coordinated butterfly.

Starts, Turns & Endurance

Streamlined push-offs, open and introductory flip turns, controlled pacing, and starts where pool rules permit.

Are You Ready for Swim Club?

Depending on the swimmer's starting point, Level 4 works toward stronger technique, endurance, and independent practice habits.

Swim 50 yards of freestyle and backstroke with efficient, repeatable form

Swim approximately 25 yards of coordinated breaststroke

Swim 15 to 25 yards of developing butterfly

Use appropriate turns and streamlined push-offs

Tread water for approximately two minutes

Maintain composure and technique during longer swimming sets

Confidence grows from the right kind of practice

Safety in Every Skill

Safe entry, wall recovery, floating, and exiting are reinforced throughout each lesson.

Confidence Without Pressure

Swimmers are encouraged through predictable routines and gradual challenges, never forced.

Small Groups

A maximum 3:1 ratio creates more turns, more feedback, and less waiting.

Mastery Before Moving Up

Advancement is based on consistent independent skills, not simply finishing a package.

Questions parents ask before registering

No. It is appropriate for swimmers who want stronger technique, better endurance, and greater confidence in deep water. It can also prepare interested swimmers for a team evaluation.

No. Team requirements vary, and acceptance is determined by the individual team. Level 4 develops relevant technique, endurance, starts, and turns, but does not guarantee placement.

Swimmers may continue in Level 4 for further refinement, move into focused private lessons, begin recreational lap swimming, or pursue an appropriate swim-team program.

Advanced strokes require repetition. A swimmer may meet the distance goal while still needing work on breathing, timing, turns, efficiency, or endurance. Repeating the level is continued development, not a failure.

Possibly, but it is not guaranteed. A level represents a group of skills, not a fixed number of lessons. Advanced stroke timing, turns, and endurance often require repetition across more than one package.

The instructor will evaluate the swimmer in the water. If another level is more appropriate, the team will recommend the best available adjustment based on skill, age, and open class space.
