Simple expectations. Safer lessons.

These guidelines protect class time, swimmer health, and a calm learning environment. Review them before registration and before the first lesson.

Enrollment and payment

Your selected class shows the session dates, number of lessons, and enrollment total before checkout.

Enrollment charges are shown before secure registration is completed.

A class space is not reserved until registration is complete.

Eligible sibling and multi-class discounts are applied automatically during registration.

Purchase, credit, and refund terms displayed in the registration flow are part of the enrollment agreement. Contact Swim Lessons LI before purchasing if a term is unclear.

Weekly schedule and arrival

Each package includes one 30-minute lesson a week at the same reserved day and time.

Arrive 10 to 15 minutes early, especially on the first visit.

A late arrival does not extend the scheduled end time.

Class-time changes depend on the correct level and current availability. They are not guaranteed.

Absences and makeups

Report an absence through the Parent Portal as early as possible.

One eligible swimmer absence may be made up in another appropriate class when space is available.

Reporting an absence does not automatically reserve a makeup.

Only compatible classes with current openings will appear as makeup choices.

A facility or weather-related closure does not use the swimmer absence. Families should watch email and the Parent Portal for next steps.

Health and hygiene

Keep a swimmer home with a communicable illness, inflamed eyes, active ear or nasal discharge, open cuts, blisters, bandages, or diarrhea or other gastrointestinal symptoms within the previous seven days.

Use the restroom and shower before entering the pool as directed by facility rules.

Children who are not toilet trained must wear a swim diaper beneath snug plastic swim pants with fitted waist and leg openings.

Report health, medical, sensory, or behavioral information that may affect safe participation.

Adult supervision

A responsible adult age 18 or older must remain at the facility for every swimmer under age 18 throughout the lesson.

Parents and caregivers should follow staff directions and avoid coaching over the instructor from the pool deck.

Parent & Tot requires the participating adult to enter the water in appropriate swimwear.

Pool-deck conduct

Walk at all times and keep aisles, pool edges, and emergency access clear.

Do not enter the water until invited by an instructor.

Food, glass, and unsafe objects are not permitted in pool areas.

Follow all Pierce Country Day Camp and Swim Lessons LI staff directions.

Class placement and instruction

Age ranges are guides. Placement is based on current skills, safety needs, and the swimmer's ability to participate productively.

Swim Lessons LI may recommend a different level when observation shows that it is safer or more effective.

Instructor assignments may change when staffing or program needs require it.

Progress varies by swimmer. Enrollment does not guarantee a specific skill outcome by a fixed date.

Questions or special circumstances

Contact Swim Lessons LI before registration whenever a swimmer has a condition, support need, or scheduling situation that could materially affect safe participation or placement.
